With over 14 years of professional experience in field of Emergency management, currently holding position of Assistant Head of Sector in charge of International cooperation and Media relations. Working on Cooperation and coordination with Ministry and international and national organizations, and non-governmental Sector in the field of emergency situations and DRR, disaster and crisis management; civil protection, disaster preparedness and response, humanitarian assistance; exchange of information with the competent authorities of other Countries and international organizations, while receiving or providing international assistance. Member of Working group for drafting National Protection and Rescue Strategy in emergency situation. Actively participates in Serbia – EU integration process (Chief Negotiator for CH 27 – Civil Protection, and CH 30 – Humanitarian Assistance). Coordination of the regional disaster preparedness and prevention network with SEE countries, international and non-governmental organizations (e. g. UNDP, UNISDR, UNCADRI, OSCE, EC, DPPI SEE, BSEC, AII, EC DG ECHO, NATO EADRCC). Focal Point for Republic of Serbia for UNISDR and EFDRR/ Hyogo/ Sendai, as well as for DPPI SEE.
During Flood Emergency in 2014, organized receiving of incoming international assistance, working closely with EU and UN teams; and coordination with LSG’s Emergency Management HQs.
Holder of numerous certificates in capacity building in emergency management, DRR and DRM, provided by UN, UNCADRI,Union Civil Protection Management, among which ToT for the DRR. Participated in many TTX and FX, national and international. Lecturer at the Academy of Criminalistic and Police Studies, Faculty of Security of University of Belgrade as wel as trainer for EC DG ECHO – EU IPA and PPRD East Programmes. Engaged as trainer in trainings in field of emergency management and DRM, for managers of local emergency management HQs (LSG’s / Mayors), and training for Members of Parliament of the Republic of Serbia.
