The regional project SEE Urban on 20 September 2018 conducted another workshop with regard to “Social Vulnerability as part of Risk Assessments’. In this workshop, the UNDP RH project manager Mr.Krunoslav Katic, worked with the participants on social vulnerability indicators and risk perception in support of assessing DRR systems. Participants were advised to work in groups in order to develop and exercise on risk perception and social vulnerability to understand the Impact of the differing capacity of groups and individuals to deal with hazards. The participants were very enthusiastic for this group work and the exchange of information between respective municipalities.
At the end of the workshop a social vulnerability map of the four municipalities were produced. This map included areas in Kosovo that were the most vulnerable for risk perception and social vulnerability. The feedback for this workshop was received through questionnaire developed by the SEE Urban project, filled in upon the completion of the workshop. The participants were municipal officials of the Search and Rescue departments and member of the ‘Disaster Resilience’ platform. The number of participants was 25(gender data: 23 Male and 2 Female).
